Pole line construction with multiple 6-pin crossarms upon each pole was pretty uncommon for telephone open wire here in New England. Typically 10-pin arms were employed when lots of wires were involved, especially after the turn-of-the century. I believe this community was served by a non-Bell company when this photo was taken.
