How 'bout some CREB Salad? Heck, I don't even know what to call this color. When I lived in Colorado, I had an acquaintance who called EVERYTHING green or olive or yellow olive or amber "amber swirled aqua." We used to have a good laugh over that. But truly, that would describe what this piece is. This one, of all the aquas with amber contaminants I've ever held, is surely one of the better ones. Nice bubble and snotty milk in the front skirt add to its appeal. Embossing reads 10/W. BROOKFIELD/45 CLIFF ST./N.Y. On the back PATD NOV. 13TH 1883/FEB. 12TH 1884. Embossing is legible but is weaker than some. Nice washboard effect on the front and side of the dome. Damage report -- two shallow flakes down from the wire groove in the front near the left (insulator's right) mold line; one is about an inch long. But these are shallow and don't show much when displayed. On the back wire groove is an inch long wire rub. On the back inner skirt is a fingernail sized inner skirt chip. But what a bright and great color! If it were mint, I'd ask more, but due to the condition flaws, how about $135 shipped? First email gets it. |
