Only eleven total specimens of this historic insulator are known to exist of which only four are unbroken . Of the remaining repaired ones this is one of the better ones . The base skirt is mint with no damage, The crown, glaze-weld collar skirt and 1/3 of the top platter are also unbroken. 2/3 of the top platter was broken into several large pieces and repaired . There are several clips on the underside of the platter that were repaired and one glaze chip on the back side opposite the best side where the marking is that was repaired . the 6 patent date marking is quite visible and mostly readable . The colour is a sandy orangeish tan in natural light. these insulators were produced only in the year 1902 and were mostly used in the SF bay area and in the foothills of the Nevada County, California on the Colgate line for a very short time from 1902 to around 1906. Asking $500 . plus shipping (unless in person delivery is ranged Much cheaper then the $2000+ a mint one might sell for! please contact me for additional photos or details about the repairs to the outer top platter . see photo for underside view...[id=398110753]
