Up for grabs is a pair of dark-coloured Diamond CD 102s in the [060] embossing style. Some folks call these colours "blackglass", but since that's a bit of a misnomer I'll refrain. This pair is in the flat-topped, sharp-crowned, mushroom-looking "type two" mould as described by Morgan Davis in his 1986 CJOW article. I don't have a copy of Dudley Ellis's book yet so I'm not sure what he says about this mould. Both moulds are slightly different in shape and diamond appearance, but are generally similar so I would lump them together under the "type 2" category. Anyways, these are a little more scarce than the average diamond pony, especially in these dark shades and in purple shades. The example on the left is a rich, deep emerald green, while the example on the right is a more standard olive amber shade.

The condition of both piece is good. The dark emerald green example is VNM, while the dark olive amber one has a 1/4" flat base flake and a 1/8" flake on opposite sides of the front base edge, a 1/4" fisheye on the right-hand lower wire ridge right around the mould line, and a couple tiny pings on the dome top. This one sounds much worse than it is, and would display basically mint. Both are shiny as the day they were made.

I'm asking $22.00 U.S. plus shipping for the dark emerald green example, and $7.00 U.S. plus shipping for the dark olive amber example. I'll do $25.00 for the pair if you're interested. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. All the best!
