Ive been wandering around outdoors looking for springtime dig sites. It seems like a good time of year to find these things due to the absence of foliage. This particular section of woods is laden with all sorts of cross-arms and other mounting hardware that has grown into and become part of the trees. Some of it is very high suggesting the trees grew quite a bit after the hardware was installed.
