A fire alarm circuit was strung atop this pole on a simple pipe bracket with 90-degree elbows on each side supporting a wooden pin. Immediately beneath were openwire telephone circuits (note the neat insulator-pin "floater" four crossarms-down ;-). Some of the openwire viewed may have been combined into the wooden cabinet atop this pole for the then-modern paired cable seen here.
