With two shows coming up, I had to do some serious hunting. Went back to my favorite source and found enough to make my show tables interesting. I will be set up at the Somers Antique Bottle Club show in Enfield, CT on Feb 23rd. The only other show I plan to setup at will be the Yankee Pole Cat show in March. I'll also have some railroad lanterns, battery jars and a bunch of other collectibles at reasonable prices. Insulators and milk bottles were the big sellers at the Somers Bottle Club show. Sold 16 insulators including one of the Jumbos. For me, this is a good day at a bottle show. Also sold the telephone sign. Did buy a CD 200 Star that got resold at the show. On display was a killer CD 740.6 CHESTER in cobalt with blood red streaks. There are some good photos of the insulator here on ICON, but it's still something to see in person. It's been around here for well over 30 years and it will take some very deep pockets to get it a new owner. Just goes to show you what a dollar can buy! |
