In addition this piece has a continuous drip-edge all around the inside of the outer skirt. Very few of these are known and as far as I know all were retrieved from the Boston, MA Elevated Railway line when it was dismantled in 1988. The inner skirt protrudes about 1/16th of an inch below the outer one and the delicate thin "continous drip" edge is in perfect shape.

There is no damage on this beauty. The only "defects" I can see is a little bit of cable-strand rub in the saddle and a small scuff mark on one of the ears (which might have occured during manufacturing). Boldly embossed with plenty of bubbles, straw lines and dome glass. A real heavy brute that you will never have to upgrade! From my personal collection.
