This transformer house was built in 1911 and where the electric arc would be employed. This building fell victims of scrappers during the world wars and recently the roof fell in damaging the remaining equipment and insulators. The three large doors were for the maintenance of the transformers and machinery. The Great Falls railroad ran in front of the building and was both a passenger and freight railway for the town and hydroelectric plants of Great Falls.

"Fertilizer From The Air" is a great nickname of the process.
