Step one is completed. I had to grind down the base of the pins to an 1 1/2" as that's the biggest paddle bit I had. Next step is to cut and sand the "collar" pieces and the base. After that, a nice stain on the two different colored woods and finally assembly. Stay tuned (if you want) for further updates....
