Extended "alley arms" upon the pole on the right allowed ample physical clearance from the trees leading into the background providing better lighting service and less electrical interference and maintanence. A longer than usual "gooseneck" style incandescent street light illuminated the centre this unpaved roadway upon the entry to this nice New York State neighborhood ;-)
