When LILCO bought out Patchogue Electric Light Co., This sub was installed to supply the remaining 23kv PELCO subs from the LILCO 69kv grid on the eastern end along with North Bellport sub back in the late 1960s when this picture was taken. Now has another transformer stepping down to 13kv when the 23kv to 4kv PELCO subs were taken down. The only 23kv left is the line from this sub and the North Bellport sub feeding the Mastic and South Shirley 23kv subs stepping down to 13kv.
