These circuits connected Rockland and Scituate, MA with Ma Bell long distance service along what is now known as SR 123. About 1930 lead-sheathed paired overhead and some underground cables superceded this line, around approximately 15 miles in length. Scituate is on the coast and Rockland is approximately the same distance inland. Local electric distribution circuits are also seen here atop this pole line. The electricity supplier was either the Brockton Edison Company or The Electric Light and Power Company of Abington and Rockland. This photo was taken looking East from Norwell Center.
