CD 133.2 P&W [030] (F-Skirt) L.A.C / PATD JULY 25TH 1865 / P & W. Its unusual to see an insulator with 1 large bubble but this early threaded piece has 3. The large bubble in front encircling the July 25, 1865 patent date measures 2 inches across at the widest point and is broken open on the bottom. I suspect this was broken a long time ago as it was filled with soot before I cleaned it. A second bubble crosses the mold line and also measures 2 inches across. The largest bubble in the back is coated in a silvery white film and measures 2 1/2 inches across. There is a BB ping with a chip under it on the front on the upper wire groove ridge above the A in LAC. There are a few scattered flea bites which are to be expected on an insulator likely over 140 years old. I'll post a picture of each bubble. Be sure to view original on each. Price $200 shipped.
