I had contacted a fellow collector about a beat up weather worn Brookfield insulator that was unsold on eBay in November. I never heard back but yesterday I received a box from him. A note inside simply said Merry Christmas! All I knew about the insulator what that it was a 55 Fulton St. Brookfield. I noticed yesterday that it was a single July 25, 1865 patent date one. While looking at it today during breakfast, I realized that it is from the exact same mold that the threadless 728.4 Brookfield comes from. Not really valuable monetarily but something in the sweet spot of what I collect. I graciously thanked the sender and offered some kind of return gesture of which he declined.

In celebration of the Christmas spirit, I am going to return the favor. I have here a CD 145 HG CO Petticoat beehive from the K mold. It is genuine river rolled or maybe seaglass. This is not sandblasted. It is in my opinion, a really cool survivor. I will send it free including free shipping to the first person who asks provided it fits into a specialty area you collect, whether that be beehives, HG CO Petticoats, sea glass, burial stained pieces or just something completely different. I don't want to see this on eBay or in an auction catalog otherwise you've completely missed the point.

Merry Christmas.
