Nice foreground view of what I think was a side bracket pole for telephone subscribers. However it could have been for railroad dispatching communications as well. In the background are a couple very interesting six-pin poles with lighter colored insulators upon it. The second pole in the background prominently shows how "white" these insulators were. Perhaps they were white porcelain as were some Canadian insulators especially if these circuits connected or were owned by a Canadian telegraph or RR company.
