Photograph taken on February 15, 1909. From my research this was one whopper of a winter storm that raised a lot of havoc here in the East, especially with openwire lines such as this one. A lot of communications line rebuilding was done via paired-cable that was "cutting-edge" with telephony commencing around 1910. Other urban lines were placed underground
