Here is a CD 138.2 EIN (sim.) [010] {exact embossing} (Base) NATIONAL INSULATOR CO. / PAT. JAN.1. & OCT. 7. 1884. BE {note periods after 1 and 4} in a beautiful clean and shiny blue aqua. Condition is VNM+ with slight surface scratches on the dome and about a half dozen pencil-point tics elsewhere that are not visible when the fluffy white cotton ball in the crown behind the upper wire ridge at one mold line is displayed front and center. Check out the view with a dark background. [id=389915435] Opposite side looks just as nice, but without the junk. [id=389915473] Base is great with a narrow open bubble right between L and A in INSULATOR that does not affect either letter, as shown [id=389915524]. A bruise at the start of the threads can also be seen as well as the distinctive Oakman rectangle at the top of the pinhole. Inquiries welcome. |
