Crossarm construction of prior years... and sidepins along one of the three separate openwire lines in this Maine photo really must have looked truly fantastic no matter, even if on a cloudy rainy day!

I realize religion and politics are not supposed to be advocated here within ICON. But I can't help but saying that being good in life, living by Christ, and being a believer in God will bring you to surroundings like this one when your door eventually opens ...so you will enjoy the ambiance of some scenes like this one when you see what is on the other side ;-).
