Several years ago I saw a similar angled-arrangement still in service way up in Maine, owned by Verizon. It was a subscriber lead that led way up along an unpaved road. Without a lot of trees along the route, the line was in good condition. Replacement poles had new crossarms. Their metal pins were like the RR Western Union ones. Instead of wooden cobs, the their threaded sections were black plastic. H.K. Porter has made these since the 1990s at least. The insulators were re-used glass ones, mostly common clears.

A retired Verizon employee told me he would not be surprised if the company has some unused clear insulators still in stock (and maybe within service vehicles along with related hardware) among used glass for rural open wire maintenance that they are still responsible for in sparse areas of northern New England. In some cases the subscriber is responsible for maintaining such lines but Verizon fixes it for whatever the fee.
