PEPCo serves a lot of the eastern Pennsylvania area...including Washington, DC...I believe.

I would like to openly thank Norman Gates for supplementing his fantastic vintage photos to this album. He was fortunate to afford a camera in the 1960s and to get around obtaining images of some very cool electric utility infrastructure that was still standing then. Our family's camera was only for special occasions (holidays, relatives, special events, etc) so, using it for taking pictures of the lines and other vintage gear that lined the streets around where we lived was way out of the question...

However I can picture just about all of the street scenes I adored via images in my mind. If only we could transfer those brain-waves to pictures someday?

In the meantime the only time-travel machine we have at hand is this folder. And I am very pleased to periodically add to it.

And a big THANK YOU goes to Norman for capturing pole line images from his youth and for sharing them here on ICON for us to enjoy.
