Who would have thought back then that there would be collectors of those "glass thingies" seen along this route and just about everywhere else?

But and by golly, such enthusiasts would be travelling along the same route some 40 years later to meet up to buy, sell and trade such insulators!

I am speaking of the early shows sponsored by the Yankee Pole Cat Insulator Club founded in 1971 who had numerous events in Glastonbury, CT commencing in the very early 1970s.
