Substation off Pulaski Rd. in Huntington, NY handled just these voltages back in 1961 when this picture was taken. Now it has 138kv coming in, stepping down to both 69kv and 13kv, with the 69kv stepping down to 23kv since 23kv is still used. All of the equipment shown here has been taken out by the 1980s.
