Walked away from the vendor who told me he didn't have any other insulators besides the Hemingray No.40 and Brookfield 152 on his table. As I was walking away he callled me back saying he did have another that was in his car. I followed over to his ride and he pulled out this very near mint No Name No.115 in a very dark teal aqua color. Of course I said I would buy it. It's even darker then the darkest Brookfield beehives that I have seen the color made in. This insulator was my last find of the day and by far the best find of my day. Picked up another ten insulators at a 7 day flea market being held over in Bouckville NY. Almost didn't go being the flea market was 150 miles west of where I live. If you follow my hunt and find postings you know I'm addicted to the hunt. That sums up the reason of why I ended up going the distance even if it was a risky business not knowing whether I would come home empty handed and waisting gallons of expensive gasoline. Anyway, The ten I will be showing off today came from 8 differnt vendors. Finding them took so much foot work my hips started to hurt. I'd still rather hunt along the tracks, but, what is an addict supposed to do if he can't get his fix that way any longer?? |
