Picked up another ten insulators at a 7 day flea market being held over in Bouckville NY. Almost didn't go being the flea market was 150 miles west of where I live. If you follow my hunt and find postings you know I'm addicted to the hunt. That sums up the reason of why I ended up going the distance even if it was a risky business not knowing whether I would come home empty handed and waisting gallons of expensive gasoline. Anyway, The ten I will be showing off today came from 8 differnt vendors. Finding them took so much foot work my hips started to hurt. I'd still rather hunt along the tracks, but, what is an addict supposed to do if he can't get his fix that way any longer?? These three ponies came from another three vendors. Though to say which is my favorite of the three. I've never had a Gayner 106 in the past (center insulator). The Hemi-9 on right is a light seven up green and the Brookfield pony is yellow green with amber. It also came with a possible lead of loads of insulators waiting to be discovered. Think I will let another collector have that information if wanted being they are between Rochested and Buffalo NY. |
