Electric service circuits atop these poles was provided by the "Electric Light and Power Company of Abington and Rockland". Sort of a long name for a small power company in those days...compared to the nowadays conglomerate electric utilities around here simply named "NStar", "Unitil" and "National Grid"...

The forementioned local was purchased by the Brockton Edison Company soon after the end of WW2.

On the lowermost crossarm seen here (along the right) carried fire alarm circuits. Rockland and Abington, MA had a number of deep amber CD 134 T-HE Co. insulators along such lines with very few located elsewhere. Within this view about five poles way in the background was one of these insulators, swapped out by the late Phil Harding in 1970. One also was on the pole right behind the photographer (obviously not seen...) retrieved during the same day's insulator collecting adventures.

About 30 deep amber T-HE's were retrieved by me and the late Phil from service (exchanged with "newer" models, lol) in the early 1970s. About 12 to 18 additional examples from this vicinity were acquired by others.
