Here is a nice comparison set. From L to R we have: CD 133 [085] (F-Crown) (Arc) W. BROOKFIELD/45 CLIFF ST./N.Y. (R-Crown) (Arc) PAT/JAN 25 1870 {MLOD} SB in unlisted light aqua. It has some pecks and tiny flakes to the front wire ridge area below the 45, a small chip to upper wire ridge in rear, an open base bubble with associated shallow base flake in rear, and some surface scratches. Sounds worse than it looks, and there is a light milk swirls that travels from the dome down behind the front embossing and into the rear skirt. CD 133 [520] (F-Skirt) W. BROOKFIELD (R-Skirt) NEW YORK SB also in unlisted light aqua. There is a small flea bite to the rear base and an even smaller open bubble on the inside of the rear base edge. Easily grades vnm+. This is the biggest CD 133 I have ever seen. Although it doesn't look like it in the photo due to the angle, it is almost exactly the same size as the CD 162 next to it and only slightly smaller than the CD 162.3 at the end. CD 162 [180] (F-Skirt) BROOKFIELD (R-Skirt) NEW YORK SB in light aqua. Damage is limited to a ¾" base chip at the right mold line, a smaller flake off the upper wire ridge in the rear, and a tiny peck on the rear dome. Straw lines on the front crown and a few bubbles add character. The glass has a crystal-like quality to it, and the piece is beefy and heavier than many CD 162 signals (which makes the size of the previous CD 133 all the more remarkable). CD 162.3 [005] (Dome) 1 (F-Skirt) W. BROOKFIELD (R-Skirt) NEW YORK SB in unlisted blue to blue aqua with no damage that I can find beyond a shallow open bubble on the bottom of the inner skirt at the left mold line. A thin, vertical milky bubble in the right front crown and a jelly-bean sized bubble to the left of W in the front skirt add character to this already remarkable insulator As you can see, these look great displayed together. I'm asking $25 plus actual shipping for this exemplary sample of Brookfield signals. See the backsides [id=381319821] and the bases [id=381320021]. Thanks for looking. CD 162.3 sold for $25 shipped. The rest will go to the antique mall for sale. |
