Here's a rare porcelain ashtray handmade by J. Hering & Sohn in Koppelsdorf, Germany in 1943. This company was in business from 1912-1945. Measures 8.5 inches wide at each corner and 2 inches deep. This huge ashtray was specifically made for use by the telegraph battalions during World War II. Comes with 3 porcelain insulators beautifully displayed on each corner: Green striped unipart (used to mark strategic lines), a suspension [id=381253343] and a multipart [id=381253528]. Overall photo [id=381253810]. Marked on base with company logo stamp J.H.S. and (correction) unidentified German word. The decorative colored trims appear to be handmade.

Excellent condition with no chips except for light glaze flaking on the raised portions of the insulators. (multipart photo has styrofoam flake on rim that appears to be chip but is not). First email gets this rare ashtray with cool insulators on it for only $225 plus shipping. Thanks
