Some if not all of the insulators on this early 6-pin telegraph pole crossarm appear to be CD 145 "beehives" or "signal" style insulators. Note that these crossarms were held in place via two lag screws (most likely) or through-bolts. This line pararelled along a railroad line that ran through this community. Also is a tall telephone openwire line seen crossing above with ten-pin crossarms with paired cable beneath. Chances are that this was a subscriber lead, serving the residents of this Ohio community. |
