Here is a better view of the fallen pole... Thanks to a National Grid supervisor who I have known for years I was able to acquire all six brown Lapp line posts shown here. Plus, the wooden braces which I think are cool. When the car hit the pole it immediately snapped. This 477 cable 13.8 kv circuit tightly made a bend across the street and was held in place by angle-mounted line posts. The sudden impact held these dangling energized lines in place, **immediately** forcing their alunimum tie wires to dislodge from their insulators...suprisingly none of these line posts were damaged. Only big scuff marks which give them some history relative to this unfortunate event. Anyway, I got all six of the line posts and will post pics of them within a day or so.

Update: Click "Next"...for two subsequent views of the booty along with their details I received from the scene ;-)

PS...the lightbulb within the street light fixture on the ground never broke even though its cast alunimum housing was badly shattered!
