Great looking ten-pin, three-crossarm telephone openwire line with transposition brackets also stretched through this community's centre ;-)

The optics within the glass refractor of the shown street light's globe were prismatically designed so that four distinct beams of light tastefully and efficiently lit up this intersection...thus, in each approach of four-way travel. The lightbulb inside likely was a clear incandescent one. The fixture was made by GE.

Ever since, one big street light blaster aimed aimlessly in all directions in a generic, tasteless luminaire has become the rule....
