Quite possibly this pole line was owned by the Central Maine Power Company at the time. Wells, ME is approximately halfway between Portland, ME and the ME/NH state line. With all of the vicious storms the New England coastline has experienced during the past century I am sure this pole line has been replaced/upgraded many times....
