Along the line on the left is what looks like an early subtransmision line (which operated at higher voltages, thus the larger insulators as you see) with local electric lighting service wires beneath. The two wood side brackets (sidepins) on this pole might have been for utility company communication use. On the right are telephone open wire circuits.
