This picture is from a 1909 tender offer submitted by the German firm Hermsdorf to supply these insulators for use on the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario's first 110,000 volt line. They are essentially grey lily shell multiparts with caps and pins cemented in.

As anyone ever seen or heard of these things ever being made? The ones in the picture were supplied to the Commission for testing, but the contract went to Ohio Brass. I'm posting this in the Foreign Insulators section as well.
