Here we see an old-time telephone sidepin (aka wood bracket in its day as their proper description) along the right....with crossarm construction complementing this too ;-) Possibly the line along the left was for electric lighting service.

Added note: I recall local NET&T workers calling these wood brackets "side pins" back in the 1960s although that really was only their nickname.

Just like "tramp" for transposition insulator as a nickname encountered me the late 60s via other collectors although telephone lineworkers I assume used this name too. Although there were plenty of transposition insulators around here in the BOS vicinity on NET&T openwire, notably CD 203s, I never heard them make any mention of "tramp" insulators.
