*Very* old side tab LRI. Dark green with a bit of milk. Embossed PATENT / FEB blah-blah 18-?0. I cannot read the pat day and full year. However, I believe it's Feb 05, 1850 judging by similar ones I have seen with a legible date. Tab is unembossed and I don't see the name SPRATT embossed on this anywhere. This was a dug piece, has 3 shallow pinky nail scallop chips plus accompanying light roughage/flakelets at the top hole edge, a thumb tip V chip to the base and does have the irridescence and pings of being buried. With a light tumble, this would probably shine up nicely and display VVNM from one side. Nice beginner's piece! Photos show backlighted and daylight side and base view.
