This is among my all-time favorite vintage photos! Seen is a lineman on a then-50-year-old-pole with telephone open wire lines atop it. Given the very pronounced "crook" to this pole it must have been a real pain in the A to climb to its top with a pair of hooks! This very non-standard Bell System pole also probably sported some colorful glass. Now I have a better idea what Heaven looks like ;-)
