Nice day to ride my motorcycle. Rode in two directions ( Not in two directions at once) and found mostly radio strains. Travaled south west to Woodstock NY which is around twenty miles away. The two purples left of the CD 162.1 Brookie were from the same vendor there. They both are SCA, one is much lighter then the other. The CD 162.1 brings to mind a question I have asked here at Icon several times without any answers. That question is, is there really any 7 Up green Brookfield insulators? The color of this the exact same shade of green that I had in a CD 152 hoop skirt. If anyone has a Brookfield 7 Up green and any Hemingray insulators also in that color it would be very much appreciated if they could post a pic in the collectors album. Anyway, after the Woodstock ride I returned home for quick break. Then I went east over the Hudson river due to a tip my Mother phoned me about. Twice while in Columbia County I was told by two different parties that they just sold whatever they had had (Boy do I hate hearing that). But never the less I did find something for my efforts. Those would be the other three strains. Not much I would say but better then coming back empty handed. Kinda like the small light aqua piece. It is loaded with fizz and also has some small white junk. It sorta reminds me of insulators. The producers were most likely just as worried / concerened about what the end product would look like when it came to impurities in molten glass batch.
