Funny how these insulators show up unexpectantly. Yesterday I went to get my truck a New York State inspection sticker because the old one expired. I usually have my uncle or cousin inspect my vehicles at a garage they co-own and operate. For some reason I don't really understand I didn't end up getting the new sticker because I had put a new battery in a recently. Something to do with the States computers that they supply garages for inspection purposes and the sensors in my truck. I was told I should drive the truck around for awhile and then return. Guess after a hundred miles or so of driving the trucks memory will forget I had put a brand new battery in. Anyway, I decided rather then just going straight home or just driving around I would visit my Uncles wife Aunt Betty being I was still in Athens NY where they live and where I was raised. I was way over due in stopping in and just saying hello, so I did. After the hugging came the chatting. According to my Aunt someone was into light houses and collected anything related to them. Told her that I had just seen many light house sculptures for sale at the Revena Yard Sale day I mentioned in my last pic loaded in the album. Also mentioned why I went to that village yard sale in the first place. That's when I was told to go look on the piano and see if I wanted any of the dust covered insulators that were there. It was darker in that room but I knew right away one was a Tee-Pee CD 157. The other was a beehive that I had trouble figuring out just what it was before bringing it out into light. The one side was embossed with what I thought was NEW YORK. I tried like a blind man to read the embossing on the other side which should have been embossed Brookfield but I didn't feel it even if it were weak. Thought I may have found an insulator I never heard of existing. It was only after getting back into the lighted room I dicovered it was an NEGM.Co..

My aunt many, many years ago was a bottle digger. She had found the Brookfield CD 157 Tee Pee in a bottle dump nearby. She didn't say exactly where she found the NEGM Co. However she did say she went for a dig over in Pittsfield Mass on property that my grandfather was raised on. He had told her exactly where they had buried their bottles when he was kid. He was born there in 1900 has been gone since the early 1980's and was in his eighties when he passed away. Anyhow, I suspect that is where she found this insulators.
