For sale is a Brodie tree insulator bracket with insulator. The patent for this can be seen at http://reference.insulators.info/patents/detail/?patent=U-418766, although the actual piece produced looks slightly different. This tree bracket seems to be a bit scarcer than the Holmes tree insulator bracket. (Try a search of the Picture Poster gallery for a Brodie versus a Holmes tree insulator.) The insulator above is a light aqua CD 112 B [040] in good condition with only a couple of pecks on the dome. The metal hardware is complete and intact. The porcelain spool has a single tiny flake off one edge, and there's dirt and soot over nearly everything. [id=374543193] A couple of years ago, I sold the upper part of a Holmes tree insulator bracket with a Brookfield CD 160 baby signal and no bottom piece--just the insulator and the Y-lag bolt/bracket--at a Yankee Pole Cat Insulator Club swap meet for $65. This Brodie unit seems to be considerably less common than the Holmes, and this one has the bottom piece intact, so I was thinking that this Brodie should be valued closer to twice that amount, or more in the $125 range. Any takers at that amount plus shipping? Thanks for looking.
