After driving by this abandoned substation for far too long; I finally got the guts to climb up the poles and retrieve some choice specimens. I really wish I could have gotten a chunk of the solid copper conductor to leave attached to the interesting U-XXX insulator. I'm guessing this system was 13,500 volts.
