For sale is an aqua glass bushing used in substation control room switches and streetcar powerhouses to isolate an open switch from the switch panel. It is 4" tall and about 3 ½" in outside diameter at the top. The base is about 2 7/8" outside diameter, and the smooth hole tapers from 2" wide at the base to 1 ¼" at the top. [id=373591360] It was made using a three-piece mold, and it has chipping around the inside of the hole at the top (much like the CD 190/191 bases) where there appears to have been a glass slug that was broken out of the top of the hole before use. This is embossed on the lower front "ridge" R 5050. There is a shallow flake near the embossing as seen and scattered pecks and dings. Overall it displays very well, and when have you ever seen one for sale? I just sold one without the flake for $75 plus shipping. How about $60 plus shipping for this one? If you buy the other one like this I've posted for sale [id=373591496], the price is $125 shipped (in the US) for both. Thanks for looking. |
