Technically, I've had a clear Tatum 9 in my possession longer, but this deep blue Prismic 9 goes back farther than any other I can remember as a part of my serious collection. Found in the fall of 1972, poking drips out of a rocky hillside below old Slater Road on the the sweeping curve north of the old GTE service yard near Kirkland, Washington, it stood out from the endless Stamp and later made 9's my friends and I seemed to find under every stone. Somehow I managed to keep on to it long enough to develop an interest in finding more like it. Early 9's now dominate my early pony collection. It all started here.
