Here's a very early porcelain insulator ashtray embossed (raised letters) Margarethenhutte Elektro Porzellan [id=370741654] Likely made circa 1900. They were the early forerunners of Hermsdorf-Schomburg in Germany and I'm am aware of very few insulators made by them. On the upper rim is the large "M" on three sides (representing the company name) [id=370741789] and an unusual porcelain insulator that to my knowledge has never been recovered yet! Glaze is a drippy tan and reminds me of early Fred M Locke glazed insulators of the same time period. On the base is marked "Bernd" in a silver letters and it appears to be original. First email gets this extremely hard to find ashtray in excellent condition for only $200 plus shipping. Thanks |
