Built in 1903 shadowing the Clifton Mill No. 3 washed out by the Pacolet River. Named after Dexter E. Converse, a famous mill owner.

This mill is one a few huge cotton mills standing in SC and unprotected. This mill is subjected to become condos one day hopefully.
