I think I was told this was some form of early radio. Some kind of wireless transmitter ?

A customer brought in some glass negatives years ago for me to print. This one was about 4x6 in size. The emulsion was pretty ratty from improper storage.

UPDATE: 3-29-2013 Thanks to several of the radio gurus of ICON, radio has been identified. Early 1920's - De Forest Interpanel Radio Developed by: Dr. Lee De Forest - early pioneer of radio, vacuum tubes and such. Est. value $6,000 to $15,000 or more depending on condition and buyer desire !!!
