This is one of two more I am going to sell the other is unmarked and in much poorer condition . In total I came up with four of these, two of which are alredy sold . I will be listing the unmarked one as soon as I get it repaired. This one has a good visible marking. (marking 6-1). The top crown, collar skirt and 1/3 of the platter are intact and unbroken with no damage . The rest of the platter was epoxied together and was in seven large parts . The base skirt was broken by frost and ice expansion but shows no impact point and other then being put back together there are no chips or missing parts . The cement joint is original . I am open to trade offers . This is quite literally the first really large regular line pin type insulator ever produced . it was only used in limited quantities in 1902 for use on the Colgate- Oakland line according to research we have done. The top is sandy reddish tan and the base is a medium sandy brown |
