The wire groove nearly fades away on the left side. I showed this to a few people who thought it was really cool. Its hard to photograph to fully appreciate. Its best viewed in hand. I decided to leave it in its natural state but I can certainly clean it upon request. I personally think it would benefit from a cleaning but I know some collectors like their insulators in their 'as found' state.
