Oil sight glasses from high voltage power bushings that allow substation maintenance technicians to check the oil levels of the bushings during routine equipment checks. These are seldom offered for sale. I haven't been able to locate one in a few years. The purple ones are very tough to come by as is the fishbowl version. All are etched with a band around the equator and the General Electric "GE" logo on both sides. All are 1/4" thick glass and have smooth ground bases which appear to be part of the manufacturing process. If you are collecting those accordion like amber transformer bushings or other electromechanical gadgets, these are the perfect companion pieces

Sizes are as follows:

Fishbowl versions amber & purple 7 1/4" openings 9" tall and approximately 12" wide.

The small purple one is 6" tall, 4 3/8" wide.

The medium purple one is 7" tall, 7 1/2" wide.

The orange amber one is 9" tall, 7 1/2" wide.
