This insulator has a very nice shade of royal purple and is very close to mint. Believe it is as made. Some glass squeezed between the molds and it has a few shallow, shallow flakes on the base where some of that glass chipped off during handling. Total of three flakes all on the front side. You can see how much they will show when displaying by looking at my pic. Also to mention that there seems to be some silver looking stuff in places on the upper and lower wire groove guides. You may be able to see some in this pic as well. On the lower guide you can also see where the insulator was bumped while the glass was still hot.
